ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Andrew Harrison has been passionate about metal detecting since he was 12, when he got his first metal detector for Christmas.
He has been a member of Chippenham Metal Detecting Club for more than 10 years, where the club regularly supports newcomers, works closely with FLOs and archaeologists, holds exhibitions of finds at museums. Andrew has also volunteered at museums, worked in metal detecting professionally, donated treasure finds to museums, and holds a certificate from Oxford University in Metal Detecting for Archaeological Practices.
Andrew wrote Experts in Our Field to offer the kind of clear, practical guidance he would have valued when starting out, while bringing together knowledge and experience from a range of detectorists and informed sources.
